 Description of RTD activities The Institutes scope of work includes scientific and research activities, education, planning, consulting, as well as the revisions of technical-investment documentation from the domain of water management, hydro-engineering and environmental engineering. Some of the main activities of the Institute include:
chemical and hydro-biological laboratory analyses of samples for different purposes,
monitoring of quality of ground and surface streams, rivers, lakes and seas,
environmental impact assessment,
consulting service on pollution prevention and minimization for industrial enterprises,
consulting services, research and pilot projects related to water treatment processes,
consulting services and research related to solid and hazardous waste management,
consulting services on legal, institutional, human resources and economic issues in environment and water sector,
organization of specialized seminars and training courses on the issues related to institutional strengthening of water management utilities,
organization of specialized seminars and training courses on different environmental issues (EIA, pollution prevention, diffuse pollution, etc)
planning, optimization and simulation modeling of water and sewage urban and regional systems,
optimization and simulation of water management systems,
hydrologic field measurements,
hydrology of surface and ground water streams and lakes, karst hydrology,
environmental hydrology,
hydrodynamic field measurements and research,
dynamics of surface and ground waters with environmental hydraulics,
experimental and numerical hydraulics of rivers, lakes and seas,
