 RTD focus of organization Biodiversity
Description of RTD activities My field of research is entomology. I examin the effects of a rise temperature on the phenology and occurence of horse flies (Diptera: Tabanidae). Furthermore, I conduct research of the ecological niches of horse flies on domestic animals and of the quantity of blood which they take, daily dynamics, seasonal abundance of particular species, gonotrophic cycle and response of horse flies to natural and synthetic olfactory attractants. Except of these researches of the fauna and ecology of horse flies, I have experiences in the research of butterflies (Lepidoptera, Rhopalocera) and louse flies (Hippoboscidae) fauna.
Experiences in international Programmes Last year, I was included as a collaborator on the project entitled: Improving nature conservation relations and enhancing cooperation in biomonitoring activities in areas along the frontier river Drava, for developing the European Ecological Network.
